Managing DirectorPaul Campbell Paul Campbell is a highly experienced Management Consultant in the
property development and construction industry with 30 years’ development,
project & cost management experience in various market sectors which
include (not limited): Hospitality & Tourism; Retail; Commercial; Residential;
Aged Care; Airports; Services Infrastructure; Education Facilities, State &
Local Government projects. He is a client side management consultant and his vast experience
includes many years’ experience of managing major projects within sensitive
political environments that require consultation with numerous and varied
stakeholder disciplines together with demanding reporting regimes and strict
compliance with organizational policies and procedures. He has been involved in
the management of such projects throughout the project planning, design, contract
procurement and construction/handover phases - in the UK, New Zealand,
Indonesia, Middle East and Australia; ranging in project value from $500K up to
$400m. Paul has a broad depth of experience in the development of Feasibility
Studies and Financial Business Cases which incorporates project strategic
advice and project facilitation advice. Through thorough understanding of
Client’s business cases and project objectives, he has successfully assisted
many organizations in the development of varied contractual procurement
strategies together with assisting in the respective development of high
quality contractual documentation and negotiating contractual inclusions.;
these include (not limited): Australian Standards, JCT, F.I.DI.C; Bespoke;
Master Builders, and the like. This significant experience spans various contract procurement models
such as: design & contract; ECI, document and construct; traditional lump
sum; managing contractor; construction management; base building developer;
purchase order management, etc. Paul is highly focused on making sure contract procurement models and
project objectives are fully understood by all relevant Parties as well as
managing the execution of such contracts over the full duration of any
project. As a consequence, he has
developed high skill levels in maintaining effective and efficient lines of
communication involving multiple Client parties so that all parties are fully
informed of the project status at all times throughout the duration of the
project. His background as a professional Quantity Surveyor (1986-93) provides
an in-depth expertise to focus on the likes of the preparation of feasibility
analyses, business case studies aimed at achieving value for money outcomes to
meet Client budget constraints. Paul’s significant knowledge and experience of the processes associated
with risk management, safety in design/construction, value management and value
engineering techniques contributes significantly to successful project
outcomes. Paul has successfully facilitated several detailed workshops in these
key project facets on major projects; managing respective output plans over the
duration of the project involved. He has a passion for ecological sustainability and the necessity for the
industry to embrace this critical development facet in project planning with
clear objectives in place as to WHY. Paul acknowledges that the property
development, construction and energy/resources industries contributes
significantly to a number of detrimental effects to our living environment and
he is highly focused on positively influencing project briefs, design scope,
procurement contracts and construction activities with a view to mitigating and
negating such negative effects on our planet.
